Teaching Philosophy
Technique as freedom, improvisation as foundation.
I believe technique exists to create freedom—freedom of expression, movement, interpretation, and identity. My teaching is grounded in an ease-based physical setup and a clear technical framework, and it includes improvisation as a core skill.

I work with students to develop a healthy relationship with the instrument, a flexible and reliable technique, and a distinct artistic point of view that can guide their musical and career choices.

The ensemble released six albums, completed multiple sold-out tours across the U.S. and abroad, appeared at festivals including Brevard Music Festival, Festival Mozaic, and the Kerrville Folk Festival, and performed Greenberg’s original works as soloists with orchestras in symphonic settings, including through the U.S. State Department’s American Music Abroad program.
